This 24-inch antique German child doll embodies early 20th-century craftsmanship from the Thuringia region, as indicated by the Wiefel & Co. hallmark (W & Co.), the 301 mold number, and Thuringia incised on her beautifully sculpted bisque socket head. She features expressive glass sleep eyes with soft lashes, rosy blushed cheeks, and an open mouth displaying small molded upper teeth. Her full blonde wig is styled in voluminous curls with a pale pink satin ribbon that matches her vintage pink and white pinstriped cotton dress. The dress has detailed smocking at the yoke, short ruffled sleeves, and delicate white trim, paired with dark stockings and black mary-jane style shoes with buckle closures. The doll's sturdy, fully jointed composition body allows for lifelike posing. Appropriate but added clothing, shoes and wardrobe items show wear, and some restorations may be present on the body. Wear includes crazing, joint chipping and repainted areas. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
