This is an antique Effanbee Patsy Ann doll, measuring 19 inches in height. Patsy Ann is an early composition doll produced by Effanbee beginning in the 1920s–1930s, notable for its molded painted hair, sweet painted features, and signature sleep eyes that close when laid down. This example shows typical age-related crazing, especially on the head and face, as well as signs of past restoration. Her original pink patterned dress and original shoes are present, with new ribbons, as well as updated socks and a white onesie. Wear and a crack on her arm, minor shoe distress, and general handling wear are observable. "Effanbee Patsy Ann" and the patent number are impressed on her back.
