This pair of solid cast brass bookends was manufactured by Brisk Foundry in Imlay City, Michigan, during the 1950s. The design features a bowling pin and ball finished in black paint on a D-shaped base. Provenance indicates these items were issued as commemorative gifts for members of the foundry's sponsored bowling team.Height: 7 inchesThe bookends show heavy surface wear including extensive chipping and scuffing to the black paint, exposing the brass underneath. The cast metal has an industrial texture and the green felt bases show moderate wear and debris.
