This collection features the 2004 Folio Society edition of Shakespeare's Life and World compiled by Katherine Duncan-Jones, presented in its original publisher's slipcase. Included are a 1936 Garden City Publishing Co. edition of The Complete Works illustrated by Rockwell Kent and a 1975 Avenel Books edition bound in maroon faux-suede. The volumes contain various black and white illustrations and are punctuated by mid-century personal inscriptions.The Folio Society volume is in good condition with minor shelf wear to the slipcase. The 1936 edition shows significant foxing to the top edge, a tear at the spine head, and ink inscriptions to the front endpapers. The 1975 edition exhibits a tear to the spine tail, general shelf wear to the suede-like binding, and a personal inscription on the half-title page.
