This lot features a 1979 Easton Press leather-bound edition of Robert Browning's poems and an 1898 Allyn and Bacon edition of narrative verse. The Browning volume is bound in brown leather with elaborate gilt ornamentation, moire endpapers, and wood engravings by Peter Reddick. The 1898 volume includes works by Coleridge, Arnold, and Tennyson, and contains period ownership signatures and handwritten student notes.Browning volume: 10.5 inches (H)Narrative volume: 6. 5 inches (H)The Easton Press volume is in fine condition with bright gilding and no apparent wear. The Allyn and Bacon volume shows significant wear, including a large abrasion with surface loss on the cover, torn internal pages, and overall age-toning.
