This lot features two octavo-sized hardcover volumes published by The Folio Society, comprising Anton Chekhov's Short Stories (2001) and The Folio Book of Comic Short Stories (2005). Both works are quarter-bound in cloth with illustrated paper sides and include their original matching slipcases. The editions are illustrated by Debra McFarlane and Paul Cox.Slipcase Height: 9-10 inches. Both slipcases show minor shelf wear and several small white scuffs on the flat surfaces. The bindings are in very good condition with bright gilt titles and minimal corner wear. The interiors are clean with bright pages.
