This 1885 pocket-sized edition of the Dutch New Testament was published by the Nederlandsche Bijbel-Compagnie in Amsterdam and Haarlem. The volume is bound in full grained brown leather with all edges gilt and features a decorative white metal hinged clasp. The interior includes marbled endpapers and 1887 provenance from a settler in Oostburg, Wisconsin, handwritten on the flyleaves.6 inches tall. The binding exhibits significant wear including leather loss at the corners, scuffing to the covers, and cracking along the joints and spine ends. The decorative metal clasp remains functional, and the gilt edges are well-preserved. Interior pages are generally clean, though several small ink stains are present on the inscribed front leaves.
