This oil on canvas painting by S. Perrine depicts a classic sporting scene with four mallard ducks—three drakes and one hen—in flight over a marshland at twilight. The painting is signed S. PERRINE in the lower right corner. The back of the canvas is stapled to a wooden stretcher and retains a paper label for Creative Galleries, Inc., based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Additional pencil notations on the stretcher read HARRISON and #2 WALKER.Frame: 28 x 32 inchesCanvas (approximate): 20 x 24 inches.The canvas has a visible vertical tear or puncture measuring approximately 0.5 inches in the upper left quadrant, as documented in the detail photographs. The frame shows minor surface wear, including small nicks and abrasions to the wood. The paint surface appears stable outside of the noted damage.
