Antique British bone china cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted Chelsea birds and insects in pink, purple, blue, yellow, orange, and white framed in gold scrollwork. Has a cobalt fishscale type background. Gold gilding along the edge and to the handle. Marked on the bottom Copeland's China England. Also has a retailer's mark for Wigmore St Daniell London in gold. Has crazing typical of bone china, some wear to the gilding, and staining staining, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 inches wide.
