6 Year old Mare - 14.1 HH Mesa is a 6+ year-old Dun BLM Mustang mare from the Antelope Herd Management Area. She has a solid foundation, leading, tying, trailering, lunging, standing quietly to be saddled, and has been started under saddle. Mesa is an intelligent and athletic mare. Like many mustangs, she is naturally cautious with unfamiliar people, preferring time to assess new situations before relaxing. For this competition, I’ve chosen to present Mesa in hand because I believe it best showcases her strengths while continuing to build her confidence in a busy, high-energy environment. My priority has always been developing a trusting, willing partner rather than asking more of her than she’s mentally prepared for. Mesa has a kind heart, a willing mind for those she trusts, and tremendous potential for someone who values a horse that needs the time invested. She continues to gain confidence with every new experience and is well on her way to becoming a versatile partner. She is being shown in hand but has been started lightly under saddle. She has been in training for 5 months.
