A fun, delicate hand-painted miniature blue and white teapot decorated with a design of a bird and peony. The thinly potted and translucent porcelain teapot has four holes in the interior to hold the tea leaves. Outside it has two porcelain loops to hold a handle made from brass wire. The lid fits the base and has a knob finial. The teapot is small and may have been made for a child's tea set. The shallow foot and base are not glazed. MEASUREMENTS 3 ½" (8.9 cm) long x 2 ½" (6.4 cm) wide x 2 ¼" (5.7 cm) tall (without handle). Weighs 3.4 oz (95 g) CONDITION There are chips to the spout and on the rim of the lid. One porcelain handle loop broke and was re-glued. A fun teapot to add charm to your home or add to a child's tea set.
