Title: Portrait of a Woman with Ornamental Hat Technique: Gouache on paper Measures: 17 x 13 inches (43.2 x 33.0 cm) Year: Undated Condition: The artwork appears in generally good visual condition based on the photographs supplied. Colors remain well defined, with no significant tears, creases, or apparent paint losses visible. Presented in a dark brown wooden frame with a metallic silver-toned inner border. The reverse has a cardboard backing, paper-taped edges, and a metal hanging wire. Minor wrinkles are visible in the backing tape. Not examined out of the frame. Condition is described from the photographs supplied. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition description. Provenance: Gifted privately from the private collection of the Andersson family in Stockholm to a sibling’s household in Linköping. Visual Description: A stylized portrait of a woman featuring an asymmetrical face, elongated nose, expressive eyes, and dark curling hair. A multicolored ornamental hat crowns her head, while her geometric red garment contrasts with the warm terracotta background and pale vertical stripes. Strong outlines, fragmented facial features, and muted earthy tones evoke Cubist portraiture. A signature reading "Picasso" appears in the upper right corner. This composition reflects stylistic elements commonly associated with major figures in modern and contemporary art.
