his item is a vintage Avon "Ted E. Bear" cookie jar, originally issued in 1979. Manufactured by California Originals for Avon, this collectible ceramic piece was distributed specifically as a "Team Leader" award for Avon sales representatives rather than mass-marketed to the public. It depicts a friendly light-brown teddy bear licking his chops while wearing a bright red sweater embossed with "AVON" across the chest. The seated bear is sculpted holding a half-eaten chocolate bear-shaped cookie, and his head functions as the removable lid.
