A traditional half-yard of ale drinking vessel presented with a bespoke display and serving stand. The clear glass vessel is hand-blown, comprising a wide flared rim that tapers into a long, slender neck and terminates in a bulbous base. The glass exhibits characteristic manufacturing swirls and small inclusions within the bulbous section. The stand is constructed from a light-coloured hardwood with a prominent grain, possibly oak. It features a rectangular base with a circular recessed well to support the bulb, a vertical square-profile post, and an upper support arm with a U-shaped slot secured by a brass dome nut. No maker's marks or inscriptions are present on the glass or stand. Height approx. 47 cm (measured against a tape measure showing inches only). Condition: The glass is in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. Minor surface dust and light residue are present inside the bulbous base. The wooden stand is in sturdy condition with minor surface wear and light scuffing to the finish on the base. The brass hardware shows a light natural patina.
