A custom-constructed child's hybrid kick scooter built in a folk art style. The piece combines components from a modern Razor folding scooter with vintage steel elements. The front section features a red-painted steel fork and mudguard assembly married to curved white-painted handlebars. The modern central steering column is made of aluminium and bears the Razor brand name in black lettering with a registered trademark symbol. The original metal deck retains a red oval sticker with the Razor logo in gold-toned text, which has been overlaid with a wide, rectangular weathered wooden plank bolted to the frame. The rear section consists of a standard aluminium deck structure with a black plastic folding mechanism housing and a metal rear friction brake. The modern T-bar handle is fitted with red foam grips. Dimensions: Height approx. 32.5 inches (measured against a tape measure). Condition: In heavily weathered, as-found condition. The vintage steel fork, mudguard, and white handlebars exhibit significant paint loss and widespread surface corrosion. The wooden deck plank is heavily greyed and weathered. The aluminium components and plastic housings show scuffs, scratches, and ingrained surface dirt from outdoor storage and use. The red foam handgrips are worn, dirty, and compressed.
