A vintage stainless steel dairy milking bucket, commonly known as a belly milker or suspended milker. The bucket body features a stamped maker mark for Farm Master, a private label brand of Sears, Roebuck and Co., alongside the text Our Pledge of Superior Quality. The removable lid is stamped with the Surge logo, identifying it as a product of Babson Brothers Co., and includes an embossed number 5 and the notation PAT. PEND. The vessel is constructed with an integrated heavy-duty stainless steel carry handle. The lid assembly is equipped with four vacuum ports intended for teat cup attachments and a central vacuum intake port fitted with a rubber gasket. Height to top of handle approx. 9.5 inches (measured against a ruler). Condition: The stainless steel components show surface wear including scattered scratches, minor abrasions, and small indentations consistent with historical use in a dairy environment. The rubber gasket on the lid exhibits signs of age and hardening. The item is sold as a collectible industrial artifact; functional operation has not been tested.
