Two vintage manual ice cream freezers constructed with wooden staves held by metal hoops. One freezer features a cast metal gear housing embossed with the cursive script White Mountain Freezer, complete with a hand-crank mechanism and an inner metal canister. The hand-crank incorporates a turned wooden handle grip. The second item consists of a wooden stave bucket equipped with a wire bale handle. Both buckets are bound by three metal hoops. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Height of bucket approx. 32 cm, overall height of complete unit approx. 37 cm, diameter of buckets approx. 26.5 cm. Condition: Both items exhibit significant signs of age and wear consistent with long-term storage. The wooden staves show drying, separation, and weathering with substantial loss to the original finish. All iron and metal components, including the binding hoops, crank mechanism, and wire handle, display heavy oxidation and surface rust. The mechanical components are untested and stiff, requiring restoration and lubrication. One unit lacks the internal canister and gear assembly. Free of active woodworm.
