This group of red transfer-printed earthenware tableware consists of approximately twenty pieces decorated with a rustic early American wilderness theme. Each piece features a central scene depicting a log cabin and landscape with a figure in the foreground, framed by a wide decorative border of oak leaves and acorns between geometric bands. The set includes three dinner plates, approximately twelve salad or dessert plates, and approximately five small bowls. An unidentified circular transfer mark is located on the underside of the base. Diameter (measured against a ruler): Dinner plate: approx. 10 inches Salad plate: approx. 7.5 inches Small bowl: approx. 5.5 inches. Condition: The collection is in good overall condition with minor shelf wear consistent with age and use. One bowl shows a small chip and associated discoloration on the rim. Minor kiln spots and light staining are present on the unglazed foot rings of several pieces.
