This collection features an assortment of vintage ceramic and earthenware pieces finished with various decorative luster glazes. The first vessel is a flared porcelain vase featuring a pedestal base and an iridescent orange-yellow luster glaze. The central body is decorated with a hand-painted butterfly in shades of blue, black, and yellow. A black band runs along the rim, detailed with hand-painted orange and blue blossoms among green foliage. The base bears a stamped mark reading MADE IN JAPAN. The second item is an earthenware pitcher with a flared rim and integrated handle, featuring a metallic silver-toned foliate pattern of leaves and vines over a white ground. The underside displays the embossed names MYOTT and ENGLAND, along with a stamped mark reading 2782 F.G. and 18 CARAT. The collection also includes a matching teapot and small open creamer crafted from earthenware. Both pieces are adorned with a repeating metallic gold or bronze-toned abstract squiggle pattern over a white ground, complemented by solid gilt accents on the handles and rims. The underside of the creamer features an oval stamp reading SUDLOWS BURSLEM MADE IN ENGLAND, accompanied by hand-painted gold characters reading 159 and oP. The final piece is a small, cylindrical lidded pot decorated with a gold-toned metallic vine and leaf pattern on a white ground, finished with solid gilt bands at the collar and base. Dimensions measured against a ruler: Vase: Height approx. 6.75 inches Lidded pot: Height approx. 5.25 inches. Condition: The teapot and creamer exhibit prominent and extensive surface crazing throughout the glaze. Light surface wear to the gilt and luster decorations is present across the collection consistent with age and handling. No visible chips, cracks, or restorations are apparent.
