Bible Eight-Pager Comic Booklet. This scarce vintage 1930s "Tijuana Bible" (eight-pager) features a satirical adult parody starring the classic Smokey Stover spin-off newspaper comic character Looy Dot, titled "LOOY in 'High Finance' by Fanny Hurtz". Produced clandestinely during the Great Depression, these illicit, pocket-sized adult graphic booklets lampooned popular comic strip personalities, Hollywood celebrities, and public figures, making them culturally significant artifacts of American underground press, censorship, and vintage counterculture ephemera. Publisher anonymous/unattributed (underground printing), estimated c. 1930s, black line artwork printed on pulp newsprint cover and internal pages with staple binding, featuring a portrait of Looy Dot alongside bold typography and the humorous author pseudonym credit "by Fanny Hurtz" on the cover, measures standard pocket size approximately 2.5 x 4 inches. Displays expected signs of age and handling wear including paper toning to the newsprint stock, minor surface smudging, edge creasing, and light corner wear along the left border, though the cover illustration and title text remain fully distinct and legible; no major tears, missing pages, or severe structural defects observed. See photos for close-up details.
