Tijuana Bible Eight-Pager Comic Booklet. This scarce vintage 1930s "Tijuana Bible" (eight-pager) features a satirical adult parody starring the classic Dumb Dora newspaper comic strip character Alexander Smart, titled "Alexander SMART in 'Tit for Tat'". Produced clandestinely during the Great Depression, these illicit, pocket-sized graphic booklets lampooned mainstream comic strip personalities, pop-culture icons, and Hollywood celebrities, making them historically significant artifacts of American underground press, censorship, and vintage counterculture ephemera. Publisher anonymous/unattributed (underground printing), estimated c. 1930s, black line artwork printed on pulp newsprint cover and internal pages with a single left side-wire staple binding, captioned with title lettering and a profile portrait of Alexander Smart on the front cover, measures standard pocket size approximately 2.5 x 4 inches. Displays expected signs of age including uniform paper toning to the newsprint stock, a subtle area of light moisture staining/discoloration at the upper right corner of the front cover, minor edge rubbing, light corner softening, and minor staple oxidation, though the line art and typography remain bold, clean, and fully legible; no major tears, missing pages, or severe structural defects observed. See photos for close-up details.
