This scarce vintage 1930s "Tijuana Bible" (also known as an eight-pager) features the popular pop-culture hero Flash Gordon in a satire parody comic titled "Flash Gordon in 'RED HOT'". Produced underground during the Great Depression era, these illicit pocket-sized adult gag booklets lampooned famous comic strip characters, Hollywood celebrities, and public figures, making them significant artifacts in the history of American underground comics, censorship, and pop-culture ephemera.
