Brass Dandy Buttons 6pc Lot. Dating to the Georgian and Revolutionary War era (c. 1770–1800), this exceptional 6-piece lot of unsigned, authentic "Dandy" buttons features hand-stamped and incised copper alloy/brass construction with distinct geometric folk art motifs, engine-turned style stamping, and central boss designs. Popularized in European and American Colonial fashion as oversized statement pieces on men's coats and waistcoats, these bench-made flat buttons range from approximately 0.87 to 1.25 inches in diameter and retain their intact soldered wire shanks on the reverse. The lot presents in strong antique condition with clear hand-engraved detailing, a rich authentic patina, surface tarnish, and minor micro-pitting or surface scratching consistent with over two centuries of age.
