1916 Olympic Games Grunewald. This scarce original antique color postcard depicts the Deutsches Stadion (German Stadium) in Berlin-Grunewald, built as the primary venue for the scheduled 1916 Summer Olympic Games, which were ultimately canceled due to the outbreak of World War I. Capturing athletes running alongside the stadium's integrated swimming basin flanked by spectators and patriotic banners, this official stadium issue offers strong collector appeal for sports historians, Olympic memorabilia enthusiasts, and Imperial German ephemera collectors. Published by Norddeutschen Export-Verlag and manufactured by R. Labisch & Co. (Berlin), c. 1913–1916, printed color lithograph on cardstock, marked with official German text "Offizielle Stadion Postkarte" along the reverse left margin and captioned "DEUTSCHES STADION BERLIN-GRUNEWALD" on the front, measures standard postcard size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
