14.5" H Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vase with Court Lady Decoration. A finely potted Chinese porcelain vase of baluster form with flared trumpet rim, decorated in famille rose enamels on a pale celadon-white glazed ground. The principal reserve depicts an elegant court lady standing within a garden setting beside a terrace balustrade, accompanied by a small rabbit and flowering shrubs. The reverse bears a poetic inscription in black enamel calligraphy. The restrained palette of pink, green, blue, yellow, and black enamels is characteristic of decorative wares inspired by Qing Dynasty famille rose porcelain. The vase exhibits a graceful silhouette with broad flaring mouth and narrow foot, the body decorated with stylized scrolling water motifs and architectural elements framing the figural scene. The porcelain body displays scattered iron spots visible beneath the glaze, a feature commonly encountered in Chinese porcelains. The base is unmarked. Dimensions: 14.5 inches high x 7.5 inches diameter. Likely 20th century, probably mid-20th century (circa 1940–1970), executed in the style of earlier Qing Dynasty famille rose decorative porcelains. Condition: Very good estate condition overall. Minor wear to the rim gilding, light surface abrasions, firing imperfections, scattered kiln specks, and expected wear to the foot rim consistent with age and use. Provenance: From the estate of a distinguished Georgia physician, whose collection of fine art, antiques, jewelry, and decorative objects was carefully assembled over a period of decades.
