One sealed Pro-Shot Products 10mm and .40 caliber benchrest bore brush, item 10P, with phosphor bronze bristles on a brass core. It is still attached to its original printed Pro-Shot card and has not been run through a barrel. The card carries a retail price sticker marked $2.49 and shows light shelf yellowing, a soft corner and staple holes. The bristles are bright and full with no bent or missing rows. Condition is very good. One brush in this size covers the 10mm Auto, the .40 Smith and Wesson and the .38-40 Winchester, since all three run a .400 to .401 inch bore. Pistol brushes take a beating because handgun barrels are short and get cleaned often, so a spare on the bench is cheap insurance. The benchrest pattern uses a looped end and a heavier bristle count so the brush stays centered and scrubs the grooves evenly. It threads eight thirty seconds male, the standard cleaning rod thread. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $5 to $10 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
