Lee 338 Winchester Magnum Collet 2 Die Set 90721

A Lee collet die set for the 338 Winchester Magnum, item 90721, in the amber Lee storage box. The set is two dies, being the Lee Collet neck sizing die and the dead length bullet seating die, with the printed instruction sheet. The box label gives the cartridge data as .338 bullet diameter, 2.500 inch maximum trim length and 3.340 inch overall length. A collet die is a different animal from a standard sizer. Instead of squeezing the neck down over an expander ball, it closes four collet fingers around a hardened mandrel and sizes the neck from the outside in, with no case lube and no stretching of the case body. Brass fired in your own chamber stays fitted to that chamber, necks stay straight, case life goes up and runout drops. For a 338 magnum that means less trimming and better accuracy. Dies are clean with light surface oil and normal handling marks, threads and lock rings are intact and no rust or galling is visible in the photos. Condition is very good.
