Three-piece original abstract artwork by Patricia Oblack, presented as a coordinated triptych of three separate panels, each the same size. Wilde Meyer Gallery paperwork identifies the work as “Bone Chain,” inventory OBL028, executed in acrylic on panel, with an overall documented size of 48” x 48” and originally offered by the gallery for $3,500. The composition uses heavily layered and distressed fields of golden ochre, rust, deep brown and black, with strong horizontal divisions and textured, scraped surfaces. Oblack’s accompanying artist statement describes layering colors with a palette knife, drawing the paint through adjoining colors, and repeatedly distressing the layers to create texture and depth—techniques clearly visible throughout these panels. Documentation further states that Patricia Oblack was exclusively represented in Arizona by Wilde Meyer Gallery at the time the paperwork was produced.
