Original abstract oil painting by noted Tucson artist Emilia Arana, titled “Threnody II of II.” This 16" x 16" work features a richly layered abstract composition of deep cobalt and navy blue, emerald and forest green, golden yellow, cream, pale blue, and warm coral-orange, with expressive brushwork, scraped passages, gestural marks, and areas of dimensional impasto. The reverse is hand-inscribed “Emilia Arana / Threnody II of II / oil,” with an additional “Emilia Arana / Threnody” inscription on the stretcher. Arana is a documented longtime Tucson gallery artist whose abstract oil paintings were exhibited by Conrad Wilde Gallery. Her artwork has also achieved broad commercial recognition through licensed fine-art reproductions, with numerous compositions currently represented by Image Conscious and reproduced as canvas and fine-art prints by retailers including Wayfair and iCanvas. This piece is an original hand-painted oil, not one of those commercially produced prints. Measures approximately 16" x 16". See photos for condition and details.
