Jeannie Edmonds Hancock, mix media on board, "Girl Sewing", 14" x 12", signed lower right, Rye Cove Gallery label on reverse (framed). Jeannie Edmonds Hancock is a Nova Scotian artist known for her expressive paintings and mixed-media works featuring landscapes, figures and everyday scenes. Born in Halifax, she studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and was selected as the official artist for the 1969 Canada Games in Halifax. Hancock has exhibited widely in Atlantic Canada and has worked as both an artist and teacher.
