Brooch with Suspended Natural Pearl, Circa 1840-1860 .

4.9*4.5cm Wt:14.6g

Early-Victorian (circa 1840-1860) romantic-period diamond spray brooch, executed in silver-upon-gold mounting: silver for diamond-setting surfaces to enhance brilliance, gold forming the back-structure for structural stability. Multiple old-cut diamonds form spreading floral sprigs and blossoms, with a 1-carat main diamond and a total diamond weight of 6 carats. A natural pearl, measuring 7-mm in diameter and 8-mm in height, is suspended via an articulated link below the bouquet, swinging freely when worn. Floral-spray motifs are iconic of Early-Victorian romantic-era jewellery, designed to evoke the natural grace of flowers, with diamonds shimmering under candlelight. Diamonds are firmly set; all floral elements complete, pearl-pendant articulates smoothly, overall in good preserved condition.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
