Brooch-Pendant, Antique Jewellery. <br><br>3.4*3.4cm Wt:8.7g<br><br>Late Victorian, crafted by a Roman mosaic workshop. Made in the micro-mosaic technique. Tiny coloured tesserae smaller than 1 mm are tightly and seamlessly assembled onto the base. The centre features the motif of Noah's dove, holding an olive branch in its beak, with gold wire inlaid within its wings and scattered rays of holy light. Flowers and foliage adorn both sides, with plump grapes at the top symbolising prosperity and abundance. Below sits an anchor cross, signifying hope through steadfast faith. The symmetrical equal-armed design may be worn either as a brooch or a pendant.
