Serpent Hinged Bangle with Tassel Pendant . Inner oval 6.3*4.93cm Wt:42.32g Victorian hinged serpent bangle, 19th-century, crafted in 18-carat-gold, decorated with vivid blue-and-white fired enamel, accented with ruby gemstones. Modelled as coiled serpent form, the bracelet opens via hinge mechanism and suspends an original woven-gold movable tassel drop. Serpent iconography stood as the enduring Victorian symbol of faithful, eternal love. Elaborate polychrome enamel and integrated tassel ornament are characteristic period features. Gold surfaces show age-related wear; enamel bears minor signs of period ageing consistent with antique pieces; rubies intact, hinge functions smoothly, tassel complete, overall in good preserved condition.
