with Oval and Pear-Shaped Amethysts . <br><br>6.1*3.3cm Wt:12.61g<br><br>Victorian gold drop-brooch of Rococo-Revival design with articulated swinging pendant. An oval-cut amethyst is set within an elaborate high-relief chased foliate scroll mount. Suspended by a movable link, a pear-shaped drop-cut amethyst hangs freely and swings when worn. Rich scrolling foliate ornament reflects the exuberant decorative vocabulary of Rococo-inspired mid-Victorian jewellery, a classic example of the drop-brooch form.
