Boussidan, Ya’akov (Egyptian / Israeli, b. 1939). Couple. Etching ed 30. Dated 1970, titled, numbered /30, and signed in pencil below platemark. 21" x 26 3/8" (Sight), 27 1/2" x 32 3/4" (Frame). Matted in a metal frame, not examined out of frame. Ya’akov Boussidan is an Egyptian-born Israeli artist whose sculpture, ceramics, and award-winning printmaking merge abstraction with Judaic literary themes. Trained in London and influenced by figures like Agathe Sorel, he earned major international recognition, including the Israel Museum’s Jesselson Prize.
