A handsome full-size brass bed frame designed in the Louis XVI taste, comprising a matching headboard and footboard with polished brass construction, angular shoulders, tapered uprights, and rhythmic diagonal bars forming an open geometric lattice. Each panel is centered by an ornate applied classical urn overflowing with flowers and foliage, creating a richly decorative focal point against the otherwise restrained linear framework, while fan-form corner mounts and molded feet lend additional architectural detail. The warm reflective brass finish gives the bed a strong decorative presence well suited to traditional, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic interiors. Comparable full-size brass beds with floral and classical ornament continue to appear regularly at auction, including examples described as French or Louis XVI style. The frame shows age-appropriate scuffs, scratches, surface spotting, tarnish, finish wear, and scattered dents and abrasions throughout, particularly along the lower rails and uprights, with the condition clearly consistent with prior use and handling.
