Decorative vintage Chinese Art Deco or Peking-style wool area rug featuring a warm beige field arranged with three vertically aligned circular medallions, each centered by a muted red floral rosette and surrounded by bold black fretwork. Stylized cloud and ruyi-inspired motifs fill the open field, while geometric corner devices and an outer meander border in black and brick red give the composition a distinctly Chinese decorative character. The restrained palette and spacious layout are characteristic of Chinese carpets made in the Art Deco tradition, combining traditional auspicious motifs with bold graphic forms. The rug appears to be wool and is finished with fringed ends. Condition shows moderate age and use, including general surface soiling, scattered pile wear, color variation, multiple visible pinkish-orange stains or areas of discoloration across the beige field, and significant wear, tangling, thinning, and losses to the fringe along the ends; additional edge distortion and loose fibers are present. No maker’s mark or definitive age attribution is visible, so the rug is best cataloged conservatively as vintage Chinese Art Deco/Peking style rather than assigned to a specific workshop or period. Meaasures 9'H x 7' 7"W.
