Decorative vintage Chinese Art Deco-style hand-knotted wool rug featuring a rich red field centered by a circular floral medallion and framed by a bold black border. The design combines soft pink, cream, pale green, and lavender floral sprays with geometric fretwork motifs at the corners and along the border, creating the distinctive East-meets-West vocabulary associated with Chinese Art Deco carpets. The composition is especially effective in its contrast between the open red field and the dense black perimeter, with sculpted floral elements adding visual depth and texture. White fringe finishes the short ends. The rug appears consistent with later Chinese or Nichols-style decorative production rather than an early 1920s Nichols attribution. Presented in good vintage condition with expected light pile wear, surface soiling, minor color variation, scattered lint or debris, and some wear and unevenness to the fringe; no major holes or extensive losses. Measures 7'11"H x 5'4"W.
