A charming animal portrait features a seated Rottweiler puppy posed against a softly rendered outdoor landscape, its alert expression, warm amber eyes, and carefully modeled black-and-tan coat giving the composition an appealing sense of personality and realism. Painted in oil on canvas, the artist has used fine layered brushwork to define the puppy’s fur, facial markings, and paws while keeping the distant hills and pale sky understated so the animal remains the strong focal point. Signed at the lower right, with the visible signature appearing to begin “DA H…”, though the remainder is partially obscured by the frame and cannot be confidently read. The painting is housed in a simple black molded frame and shows light age-related surface wear, while the frame has scattered scuffs, scratches, rubbing, and minor edge wear consistent with handling. Measures 19.5" x 15.5" and 23" x 19" with frame.
