A richly colored pastoral landscape depicts a charming stone cottage nestled within lush flowering gardens beside a gently flowing stream, crossed by a low arched stone bridge in the foreground. Painted in oil on canvas, the composition is filled with vivid red, pink, blue, yellow, and white blossoms, dense surrounding woodland, glowing cottage windows, and a warm sunset sky that gives the scene an inviting storybook atmosphere. Signed “M. Parson” at the lower left. The painting is housed in a light wood-tone frame with a simple molded profile. The canvas shows minor surface wear and areas of textured paint consistent with the artist’s technique, while the frame exhibits light scuffs, scratches, and edge wear from age and handling. Measures 19"H x 23"W and 21.5"H x 25.5"W with frame.
