Decorative late 19th century brass wall-mounted water reservoir or lavabo cistern, fashioned with a gently bowed rectangular body, fitted lid with turned finial, and a small dispensing spigot mounted beneath the basin. The front is richly embossed with a central heraldic cartouche surmounted by a crown and flanked by rampant lions, all framed by scrolling ornament and repeating stamped borders along the upper and lower edges. The interior retains a darkened metal lining consistent with functional use as a water vessel, while the warm brass exterior has developed an attractive aged surface with areas of patina and oxidation. The piece shows scattered scuffs, scratches, dents, rubbing, discoloration, and surface wear throughout, consistent with age and use. Measures 17.75" H x 12" W x 3.75" D.
