Intriguing carved hardwood sculpture of tall, tapering organic form, designed with three elongated stylized human faces arranged around the lower body and rising into a dramatic flame- or foliage-like crest. The carving makes strong use of the natural grain and coloration of the wood, with smoothly modeled facial features contrasting against the deeply cut, irregular upper section to create a striking modernist and tribal-inspired appearance. Likely Southeast Asian decorative work, possibly Indonesian or Balinese, the sculpture stands freely on the three pointed facial extensions at its base. The surface retains a warm polished brown finish with attractive natural grain variation and darker streaking throughout. It shows scattered scuffs, scratches, and a few small nicks and edge losses consistent with age and display. Measures 24.75" Tall.
