A compelling 12-card premium hockey collection spanning Hall of Fame greatness, pre-NHL superstar material, coveted rookie-card formats, short-printed serial-numbered parallels, Team Canada memorabilia and some of Upper Deck's most recognizable premium brands. The group is led by three Wayne Gretzky cards, including a scarce 2003-04 SP Authentic SP Honors SP Limited example numbered 92/99, and is further distinguished by an early Sidney Crosby Rimouski Oceanic card, a Nathan Horton Upper Deck Young Guns rookie, a Ryan Smyth Team Canada dual jersey/patch card numbered 18/75, and additional serial-numbered and memorabilia issues.

For the advanced hockey-card collector, the particular appeal of the lot lies not simply in its quantity but in its concentration of established hobby names and formats - Wayne Gretzky, Sidney Crosby, Young Guns, SP Authentic, SP Limited, Black Diamond Rookie Gems, Team Canada memorabilia, low-numbered parallels and Upper Deck Canadian Exclusives.

The principal card is a 2003-04 Upper Deck SP Authentic SP Honors SP Limited Wayne Gretzky, serial-numbered 92/99, depicting Gretzky with the Los Angeles Kings and commemorating his historic 1988 move to Los Angeles. SP Honors SP Limited was produced as a distinctly scarcer counterpart to the regular SP Honors series, with each card serial-numbered to only 99 copies. The combination of Gretzky, a double-digit print run, SP Authentic branding and Los Angeles Kings imagery makes this the natural centerpiece of the collection.

A second important Gretzky card is the 2003-04 SP Authentic 10th Anniversary Wayne Gretzky, numbered 0165/1994, featuring the Great One in Edmonton Oilers colors. The 10th Anniversary series was serial-numbered to 1,994 copies, commemorating the SP brand's first decade. Its clean photography, visible serial numbering and association with Gretzky's Edmonton dynasty years provide strong appeal to both player collectors and specialists in Upper Deck's premium SP issues.

Completing the Gretzky trio is the 2012-13 Upper Deck Black Diamond Quad Diamond Rookie Gems #235, portraying a young Gretzky in his iconic Edmonton Oilers No. 99 uniform. Importantly, this is a retrospective "Rookie Gems" tribute rather than Gretzky's actual rookie card, but it occupies the upper Quad Diamond tier of the Black Diamond release and is a visually impressive modern tribute to hockey's most collected player. The card is independently catalogued as Black Diamond #235 and Quad Diamond Rookie Gems.

The collection's second major superstar is represented by the 2004-05 In The Game Heroes & Prospects #104 Sidney Crosby, showing Crosby in his No. 87 Rimouski Oceanic uniform before the beginning of his NHL career. Card #104 is confirmed within the 2004-05 Heroes & Prospects checklist. Crosby's dominant Quebec Major Junior Hockey League period immediately preceded his selection first overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, giving Rimouski-era cards enduring appe
