A substantial multi-generational Canadian hockey memorabilia collection highlighted by 120 visible 1970-71 Esso Power Players NHL hockey stamps, together with vintage Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens photographic premiums, Original Six memorabilia, Quebec Nordiques material, 1972 Summit Series commemoratives and later NHL collectibles. The six pocket pages contain 120 individually displayed Esso Power Players stamps representing a broad cross-section of NHL players and teams from the landmark 1970-71 season, an especially evocative Canadian petroleum-premium issue whose distinctive purple-bordered player portraits have become enduring artifacts of early-1970s hockey culture. The collection offers considerable visual variety and opportunities for both set builders and collectors of individual NHL teams and players.<br><br>Especially appealing to Original Six specialists are four period black-and-white hockey photographs featuring Toronto Maple Leafs Harry Taylor and Hall of Famer Ted "Teeder" Kennedy, together with Montreal Canadiens greats Hector "Toe" Blake and Dollard St. Laurent. Each photograph incorporates the player's name or facsimile-style signature within the image and recalls the enormously popular Canadian hockey-premium tradition associated with the mid-century era. Kennedy, Blake and St. Laurent in particular connect the group directly to some of the most storied championship years in Maple Leafs and Canadiens history, giving these photographs considerably greater historical resonance than ordinary later reproduction material.<br><br>Further Canadian hockey content includes a factory shrink-wrapped 1996 The Official Hockey Hall of Fame Legends calendar; a sealed Canada-CCCP 1972-1997 Summit Series 25th Anniversary Limited Collector's Edition miniature hockey-stick presentation commemorating the legendary Canada-Soviet confrontation; a blue corduroy Quebec Nordiques cap with embroidered fleur-de-lis team crest; a Montreal Canadiens "The Original Six" commemorative tray featuring Stanley Cup imagery and historic Canadiens championship references; a vintage No. 36 hockey-player iron-on transfer retaining its bilingual application instructions; and a licensed Montreal Canadiens Mike Cammalleri photographic display bearing a bold black signature across the lower portion. The Cammalleri signature appears separately applied rather than photographically reproduced from the supplied image, although no third-party authentication is present and it is accordingly offered as unauthenticated.<br><br>Also included is a vintage packaged O-Pee-Chee baseball sticker album/promotion with accompanying 25-cent sticker packet, adding an attractive period Canadian trading-card component to the assemblage.
