Vintage Galvanized Milk Can with Lid

Vintage galvanized metal milk or dairy can featuring a cylindrical body, tapered shoulder, fitted removable lid, and heavy side carrying handles. The can has a great primitive farm appearance with naturally aged galvanized surfaces, oxidation, surface rust, staining, scratches, dents, and wear from years of use. The lid remains with the can and has a raised strap handle. Measures approximately 23 inches high x 17 inches wide including the handles. Appears to date to approximately the early-to-mid 20th century. Exact maker and age are unknown. Great piece for farmhouse, dairy, agricultural, or primitive decor and would also make an attractive display or repurposing piece. Condition shows wear appropriate for age and use, including oxidation, surface rust, discoloration, scratches, dents, and general age-related wear.
