Vintage Rockdale Union Stoneware salt-glazed crock featuring cobalt-blue decoration of the Gallipolis, Ohio, park bandstand. Marked "Gallipolis, Ohio 1790" with two applied side handles. Impressed Rockdale Union Stoneware, Cambridge, Wisconsin, maker’s mark on reverse. The "1790? commemorates the founding of Gallipolis and is not the crock’s production date. Rockdale operated in Cambridge from 1984–1991. Measures approximately 7 inches tall. Good vintage condition with minor surface wear and natural glaze and production irregularities.
