Vintage Hiram L. Piper Co. railroad lantern with clear glass globe, protective wire frame and tall carrying handle. Features an Adlake 400 burner and an embossed Adlake Kero globe. Estimated mid-1900s. Measures approximately 15 inches tall with the handle raised and 6 inches in diameter. Metal surfaces show oxidation, surface rust, dust and wear consistent with age and use. Globe shows surface wear and residue. Burner and fuel reservoir are present; operation has not been tested. No specific railroad marking is confirmed in the supplied photographs.
