ACL Railroad Corbin Brass Signal Lock

Vintage Atlantic Coast Line Railroad signal-department padlock manufactured by Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. of New Britain, Connecticut. Heavy brass construction with "A.C.L.R.R. Signal" and the Corbin "XLCR? trademark prominently stamped on the face. Reverse displays the manufacturer information, patent dates, and “Lubricate With Graphite.? Includes a key, and the lock has been tested and works. Measures approximately 3 inches high × 2 inches wide. Circa 1910s–1940s. The patent dates identify the lock design and are not necessarily its manufacture dates. Displays scratches, oxidation, patina, and wear appropriate for age and railroad service.
