BRONZE COLOR IMITATION BRONZE ANIMAL FACE PATTERN PHOENIX EAR VASE. <br>Height:27cm (10.63in) , Diameter:18cm (7.09in) An important imperial archaistic porcelain of Qianlong reign, modelled after ancient Shang?Zhou bronze vessel form, fitted with phoenix?head handles. The surface is treated in bronze?imitation glaze, simulating aged patina of antique bronze, with russet?brown ground dotted with gilded splashes and turquoise?blue rust?effect enamels. Multiple decorative bands are moulded and applied with taotie and kui?dragon motifs accented by gilding and simulated corrosion colours, with pendant?leaf motifs on lower belly and kui?dragon patterns around foot. The base bears six?character turquoise?enamel seal?script mark ??Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi??.
