1131-1218) PAINTED A SCROLL DEPICTING FARMING AND FISHING. Long:816cm (321.26in) , Width:29cm (11.42in) Handscroll Farming and Fishing, attributed to Liu Songnian, colour on silk. One of the Four Masters of the Southern Song Dynasty, Liu Songnian excelled at genre landscapes and architectural painting. This panoramic scroll depicts idyllic riverside rural scenes featuring farmers, fishermen, cottages and farmland. It bears titled header, continuous painted scene and successive colophons together with collector seals ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.
